Ellen DeGeneres' role as AIDS envoy is
another example of the Obama administration promoting the “homosexual
agenda,” Concerned Women for America (CWA) has warned.
Last
week, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton named DeGeneres
as a Special Envoy for Global AIDS Awareness.
The openly gay DeGeneres is the host of
The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She will use her celebrity to raise
awareness about the global fight to end AIDS.
But Janice Crouse of CWA found the
appointment problematic.
“She is openly lesbian and obviously
is an activist on the issue of homosexual rights and has taken a very
active role in pushing the homosexual agenda,” Crouse told
OneNewsNow.com.
“So for her to be the person who's out front and the face of the
Obama administration in the whole fight against AIDS I think is
inappropriate.”
“There are plenty of Christian
nations in that region [sub-Saharan Africa], so she is not going to
receive a very warm welcome there or be an appropriate person to be
the face of the fight against AIDS.”
She added that the choice is “an
effort to promote the homosexual agenda.”
