Sara Gilbert, co-host of CBS' The
Talk, will discuss her split from Glee writer Allison
Adler on Friday's edition of the daytime chat show.
The women had been together 10 years
and share custody of their 2 children: six-year-old son Levi and
four-year-old daughter Sawyer.
Entertainment
Weekly quotes from an early transcript of today's show.
“I've never been married, but I was
in a long relationship,” says the 36-year-old Gilbert. “It's
emotional for me, because we're not together. I wouldn't trade that
time … it's such a special time in my life. … But then you see
people in their 70s and you wonder … how do they do it? How do
they make it last? And I would like to think that I can.”
Gilbert is best known for her portrayal
of Darlene Conner-Healy on the ABC sitcom Roseanne, which
starred comedian Roseanne Barr as her mother. Adler, 44, joined Glee
after writing stints at the NBC sitcom Chuck and ABC's quickly
canceled science fiction drama No Ordinary Family.
