Nineteen-year-old actor Avan Jogia is
standing up for his gay male friends.
Jogia, who plays Ben Stark on cabler
Syfy's Battlestar Galactica spinoff Caprica and Beck
Oliver on the Nickelodeon teen sitcom Victorious, has launched
a campaign called Straight
But Not Narrow.
“We are a group of men, talking to
men about men who like men,” the Canadian actor says in the group's
first video. “And how men should be OK with your man friends
liking men.”
“It doesn't make you any less of a
man or make it look like you're into men if you're friends with a man
who likes men.”
“And men don't let other men
disrespect men, man.”
“So, if you're a real man, man up and
stand up for your man friends who like men,” Jogia adds in the

The video, which was released on
Friday, has already been viewed more than 3,000 times on YouTube
after celebrity blogger Perez Hilton featured the video on his blog.
