J. Edgar screenwriter Dustin
Lance Black has promised a “tender” kiss for co-stars Leonardo
DiCaprio and Armie Hammer.
DiCaprio will play the role of FBI
director J. Edgar Hoover, while Hammer, the 24-year-old co-star of
The Social Network, will play Clyde Tolson, Hoover's alleged
lover and co-worker, in the highly-anticipated Clint
Eastwood-directed biopic.
Black, whose credits include Milk,
told
E!
Online
that the co-stars will definitely kiss.
“Yes, certainly there's a
relationship between these two guys,” Black told the entertainment
website. “And it wouldn't be a Dustin Lance Black script if it
didn't have a little gay kissing in it. So the answer is yes.”
“Those who want to see that will be
pleased. I think it's done in a very tender way, surprisingly,” he
added.
Earlier, Hammer
told reporters that he's ready for a “ton of kissing scenes” with
DiCaprio.
The film also stars Denis O'Hare (True
Blood), Josh Lucas (Glory Road), Ed Westwick (Gossip
Girl), Naomi Watts (King Kong) and Judi Dench (Casino
Royale). Filming began last month in Los Angeles.
