NCIS star Pauley Perrette's NOH8 dress wowed the crowd Wednesday at the People's Choice Awards.

The strapless dress featured the NOH8 Campaign's logo on a white background. Perrette said she envisioned the dress and asked her favorite designer, Terri King, to produce it.

“I had an idea for this dress and I went to my friend Terri King – brilliant designer – and I was telling her about it and she's like 'Let's do it,'” Perrette told reporters at the awards show. “And she made it. It's flawless. It's exactly what I wanted.”

“I'm really, really proud to be wearing it,” she added.

The NOH8 Campaign, which is best known for raising funds and awareness to defeat Proposition 8, California's gay marriage ban, is helmed by photographer-activist Adam Bouska and his partner Jeff Parshley.

The group's iconic photographs feature celebrities and everyday folks with their mouths duct taped and the campaign's familiar “NOH8” slogan often written on one cheek.

Late last year, Perrette was among the celebrities who spoke out against anti-gay bullying in a video produced by the NOH8 Campaign.
