Harris and David Burtka holding their twin babies are in the current
issue of PEOPLE magazine.
Harris, the star of CBS' How I Met
Your Mother, and celebrity chef Burtka welcomed twins Gideon
Scott and Harper Grace, who were born via a surrogate, on October 12,
2010.
In one photo, the babies are pictured
wearing identical “I [heart] My Dads” outfits.
“Everyone says that it's such a blur
after it happens,” Harris
told PEOPLE. “I find myself constantly just trying to wrap my
mind around it.”
The fraternal twins each have a
distinct father.
“We inserted two eggs, one with my
sperm, one with David's sperm and they both took,” Harris said.
Burtka said, “We had two babies that
we made. With help.”
“Harper has been fussy but Gideon is
the easiest baby in the world,” he added. “They're just now
starting to recognize us and smile.”
Harris, 37, and Burtka, 35, entered a
California domestic partnership in 2004.
