Anti-gay marriage beauty queen Carrie Prejean wed NFL Oakland Raider quarterback Kyle Boller Friday, E! Online reported.

The pair met last July and became engaged in February.

Prejean, 23, vaulted to Christian celebrity status after she denounced gay marriage during the 2009 Miss USA contest because of her religious upbringing.

She withdrew a lawsuit that alleged Christian bias against pageant officials, who had stripped her of her Miss California crown, after she admitted she had filmed a secret sex tape when she was a minor, tarnishing her Christian conservative credentials.

The couple married in a fitting venue: the San Diego Grand Del Mar Hotel. The hotel, owned by Doug Manchester, is the site of a two-year-old boycott. The group Californians Against Hate called for the boycott after the hotelier donated $125,000 to the campaign to ban gay marriage in California, Proposition 8.

The ceremony was described as “lavish” and “really beautiful” by eyewitnesses.

“They had cocktails on the lawn right after,” one eyewitness said. “Everyone seemed really happy.”

After the ceremony, the couple were whisked away in a white Rolls Royce Phantom.
