Gay celebrities Carson Kressley and Cat
Cora are developing shows for Oprah's upcoming OWN network, according
to The Hollywood Reporter.
The network has green lit a pilot
starring former Iron Chef Cora.
The yet-to-be-named reality show will
feature celebrity chef Cora helping families whose eating habits have
fallen prey to a busy lifestyle. Cora will help the families balance
their busy schedules with healthy eating.
Cora and her partner Jennifer made
headlines last year when they announced they were both pregnant with
each other's child. The women, who have been together for over ten
years, said they used a unique technique that allowed each to carry
the other's biological child using sperm donated by the same
anonymous father. The couple is now raising 4 children in
California.
ABC True Beauty season 2 judge
Carson Kressley is also headed to Oprah's OWN.
The former Queer Eye for the
Straight Guy “fashion savant” is returning to his makeover
roots with a similarly themed show, although no details were given.
In Queer Eye, Kressley was among
the five gay men who swooped in like a gay tornado on straight guys
in desperate need of a makeover. During the show's five seasons on
(mostly gay) cabler Bravo, the men tackled everything from
shattered love lives to manscaping options.
OWN is expected to launch on January 1,
2011.
