Glee star Jane Lynch married her
longtime girlfriend Dr. Lara Embry in a private ceremony in
Massachusetts Monday.
The couple, engaged since November,
married on Memorial Day at the Blue Heron restaurant, People
magazine reported.
Talking about her engagement in April,
the 49-year-old Lynch told People.com: “I'm thrilled. Great, it's
really great. I never thought that this is something I wanted.”
“It's just the greatest thrill in the
world to find somebody that you want to be with every day,” she
added.
Lynch stars as Sue Sylvester, the
sharp-tongued coach of McKinley High whose mission is to ruin the
glee club singers, on Fox's musical comedy hit Glee. The
series has been picked up for a third season.
Lynch and Embry married in a small
ceremony described as “intimate and very sweet” by Blue Heron
restaurant co-owner Deborah Snow. “You could feel the love and
friendship amongst the group,” she said.
Snow also told the magazine that only
family and close friends were invited – no celebrities.
The ceremony lasted 20 minutes and was
held on the restaurant's patio.
