Demand for the public service
announcement that includes True Blood star Anna Paquin's
revelation that she's bisexual has crashed a gay rights group's
website.
The Associated Press is
reporting that the website wegiveadamn.org
crashed on Friday due to “enormous traffic.”
In the PSA, Paquin says she's bisexual.
“I'm Anna Paquin. I'm bisexual,”
she says in the PSA released Thursday. “And I give a damn.”
The star of HBO's vampire hit drama is
currently engaged to co-star Stephen Moyer.
Paquin, 27, reportedly filmed the PSA
on January 30 at the Standard Hotel in Los Angeles, RadarOnline.com
reported.
The PSA, which also features Cyndi
Lauper and openly gay celebrities Elton John, Cynthia Nixon and
Whoopi Goldberg, benefits Lauper's True Colors Fund.
Rocker Lauper is playing Donald Trump's
Apprentice for her LGBT charity, which has raised over
$200,000 over the past 2 years for gay rights groups such as the
Human Rights Campaign,
CenterLink
and PFLAG,
the support group for parents and friends of gay men and lesbians.
The Give a Damn-themed PSA urges
everyone to get involved in gay rights.
Paquin and Moyer, 40, became engaged
last August.
