New Zealand Olympic speed skater Blake
Skjellerup and fiance Saul Carrasco, a lifestyle blogger, tied the
knot in Hawaii.
The 30-year-old Skjellerup announced
the marriage on social media.
The pair got engaged in August of last
year.
“4 weeks ago today we had our
wedding!” Skjellerup captioned a photo of the pair dressed in suits
with matching ties. “Can we do it again for the cake and trip to
Hawaii?”
In an earlier interview with gay glossy
Out, Skjellerup described meeting his future husband in New York.
“Saul and I had been talking on
Instagram and I reached out and asked him if he'd like to go to
dinner and show me around the city,” he said.
“We went to dinner and we hit it off.
Afterwards we kept in touch and ended up meeting each other again in
Las Vegas a few weeks alter. We decided then that we'd like to be in
a relationship,” he added.
