The debut of I Am Cait on Sunday
attracted 2.7 million viewers, according to Nielsen.
The New York Times called the
numbers for the highly-anticipated E! reality series about Caitlyn
Jenner “solid.” In I Am Cait, the network scored its
third-largest audience this year.
Jenner debuted last month on the cover
of Vanity Fair.
Earlier this month, she accepted this
year's Arthur Ashe Courage Award for her coming out as a transgender
woman.

In the show's first episode, Jenner
revealed herself to her mother, her sisters and her daughter Kylie
Jenner. Stepdaughter Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West also
appeared on the program.
Season 1 of I Am Cait has eight
episodes. No word yet on whether E! will pick up the show for a
second season.
