Out actor Greg Rikaart and television
writer Robert Sudduth married this week on a Hawaiian beach.
Rikaart, 38, is best known for playing
Kevin Fischer on the long running CBS soap opera The Young and the
Restless.
“Holy matrimony,” he captioned a
photo on Twitter of the couple exchanging vows on a beach.
“So much love today,” he added in a
follow up tweet. “Thanks for it all. Rob and I have enjoyed
reading your kind wishes. Mahalo, as they say here in Maui.”
Melissa Claire Egan, Jessica Collins
and Melissa Ordway were among Rikaart's Young and the Restless
co-stars to tweet warm wishes to the couple.
Rikaart came out in 2013 on Twitter,
posting a photograph of himself and Sudduth in support of the Supreme
Court ruling which led to the fall of California's ban on gay
marriage, Proposition 8.
Last year, Rikaart made headlines when
he called
former Texas Governor Rick Perry “a big dumb asshole” for
comparing being gay to an alcoholic.
