Web series Hunting Season, often
described as the gay version of Sex and the City, returns
Tuesday for its sophomore season.
The series follows the sexual exploits
of Alex (played by Ben Baur), a gay Gawker.com blogger, and is based
on the wildly popular blog The Great Cock Hunt, which was
published between 2005 and 2008.
Unlike season one, which was broadcast
on Logo, the show's second four-episode season will premiere on Vimeo
On Demand. Episodes will cost $4.99 each to purchase and $2.99 to
rent. A new episode will premiere each week.
Episodes in the new season are also
longer, doubling in length from 10 minutes, standard web length, to
20 minutes, television length.
Producers described the show's freshman
season as “a real-life (nudity included) glimpse into the world of
gay Gotham twenty-somethings.” In its premiere episode, a subway
trick segues into a threesome when a roommate unexpectedly arrives
and nonchalantly dives in.
