Singer Barry Manilow reportedly married
manager Garry Kief last year at the couple's Palm Springs, California
home.
According to People.com,
the couple exchanged vows last April.
“It was a surprise,” an unnamed
friend said, adding that “20 to 30 guests” attended the ceremony
under the pretense that they were invited to “lunch.”
“They have a great relationship,”
another source said. “Garry has always been there for Barry.”
While Manilow has never publicly
discussed his sexual orientation, the source said that he has never
tried to hide it, either.
“He's at a point now where he's got
his career and personal life in a great place and he really doesn't
care what people think. He's in love and happy,” the source said.
The
National Enquirer, which first broke the story, quoted a
source as saying that Kief left his wife to be with Manilow and that
they have been together more than 30 years.
