Netflix on Tuesday released photos from
its upcoming comedy Grace and Frankie starring Jane Fonda and
Lily Tomlin.
In the single-camera sitcom,
adversaries Grace (played by Fonda) and Frankie (Tomlin) are
unexpectedly brought together when their husbands announce that they
are gay and getting hitched. Martin Sheen (The West Wing)
will play Fonda's husband, while Sam Waterston (Law and Order)
will play Tomlin's.
“The women find their lives both
turned upside down and to their dismay, permanently intertwined,”
Netflix said of the comedy. “Eventually, to their surprise, they
find they have each other.”
Brooklyn Decker, Ethan Embry, Baron
Vaughn and June Diane Raphael round out the cast.
The show's first 13-episode season goes
live May 8 on Netflix.
