Kerry Washington and Roland Emmerich
were honored Saturday at GLAAD's 26th annual Media Awards
held at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.
Washington (Scandal) was
presented with the group's Vanguard Award by Ellen DeGeneres, while
Channing Tatum presented out director Roland Emmerich (Independence
Day) with the group's Stephen F. Kolzak Award.

In accepting the group's award for Best
Comedy Series, Transparent producer Jill Soloway remarked
“GLAAD makes the world safer for people to walk out of their front
door.”
The Imitation Game won in the
Outstanding Film – Wide Release category, while the ABC drama How
to Get Away with Murder picked up the Outstanding Drama Series
prize.
