You can add Madonna to the growing list
of celebrities speaking out against fashion designers Domenico Dolce
and Stefano Gabbana.
The business partners and former lovers
created controversy when they criticized gay adoptions and called
children born through IVF “synthetic” in an interview with
Italy's Panorama.
Singers Elton John and Ricky Martin and
television producer Ryan Murphy (Glee, American Horror Story),
all of whom are gay and raising children, condemned the comments.
“I shall never wear Dolce and Gabbana
ever again,” John wrote in an Instagram post calling for a boycott
of the fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana.

Martin, Ryan Murphy, Martina Navratilova join Dolce & Gabbana
boycott.)
On Wednesday, Madonna shared on
Instagram a photo of herself lying on a bed holding a baby, which was
part of a marketing campaign for the brand's Fall Winter 2010
collection.
Madonna captioned the photo: “All
babies contain a soul however they come to this earth and their
families. There is nothing synthetic about a soul!! So how can we
dismiss IVF and surrogacy? Every soul comes to us to teach us a
lesson. God has his hand in everything even technology! We are
arrogant to think Man does anything on his own. As above so below!
Think before you speak. #livingforlove.”
