Out singer Sam Smith on Sunday picked up four Grammy Awards, including major categories best new artist, song of the year and record of the year for Stay With Me and best pop vocal album for In The Lonely Hour.

“Thank you all for the best night of my life,” Smith said.

“Before I made this record I was doing everything to try and get my music heard,” he remarked. “I tried to lose weight and I was making awful music. It was only until I started to be myself that the music started to flow and people started to listen.”

Smith also performed on Sunday, singing his hit Stay With Me accompanied by R&B queen Mary J. Blige.

Before the show got underway, Smith told Entertainment Tonight that his post-Grammys plans include a stop at In-N-Out.

“I'm going to In-N-Out burger straightaway, because I've been, like, juicing for the past few weeks, so I'm going straight to burger,” he said.
