Out director Bryan Singer and actress
Michelle Clunie welcomed a baby boy on Tuesday.
Singer tweeted a photo of the pair in
the delivery room holding their new son.
“Michelle Clunie and I would like to
welcome our beautiful son Dashiell Julius William Clunie-Singer into
the world,” Singer
messaged just moments after the delivery.
Clunie, who is best known for playing
Melanie Marcus on Showtime's groundbreaking gay drama Queer as
Folk, also tweeted a photo.
Singer, the director of movies
including X Men: Days of Future Past and The Usual Suspects
and the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse, and Clunie dated in their
early 20s.
In a tweet from October, Singer
clarified his and Clunie's current relationship: “Thanks 4 good
wishes 4 our baby. FTR my bf Michelle Clunie is the MOTHER, NOT A
SURROGATE I'm the Father. #Coparenting #Beautifulbabymama.”
In an interviewer for the May issue of
The Outsider, Singer described himself as bisexual.
“I'd definitely be a four [on the
six-point Kinsey scale],” he
said.
