Duck Dynasty star Willie
Robertson won't say whether he believes being gay is a choice.
Robertson made his comments during a
wide-ranging interview with Larry King.
Last Year, Phil Robertson, the
patriarch of the A&E hit reality show and Willie's father,
sparked outrage when he said that gay sex was an “illogical” sin
during an interview with men's glossy GQ.
“Well, the basic thing, it can only
be a sin if you choose it,” King said. “And do you think people
choose to be gay?”
“Larry,” Willie Robertson answered,
“I'm trying to figure that out right now. I really am … through
the passages, cause I always have to look through the Scriptures to
see what's there. And then I put it up against people, put my time
in. I've spent time with people. … I'm not the judge. God's going
to be the judge. So, it's not my job to convince people to change
their lives, it's really through Jesus. If I just introduce them to
Jesus, he'll do that.”
“All I know is to love people, accept
people, be kind, and be respectful of people. And I think as a
family that's what we do.”
