Jack Falahee, who plays gay law student
Connor Walsh on ABC's How To Get Away With Murder, says he's
glad people are talking about his sex scenes.
Peter Nowalk, who created the Shonda
Rhimes executive produced show, previously said that Murder would
not shy away from showing gay sex because “it's part of life.”
In the show's pilot, Connor is seen
picking up, then bedding Oliver (played by Conrad Ricamora), an
informant for a murder case. In subsequent episodes, Connor and
Oliver appear to be developing a relationship.
“The fact that there are members of
the LGBT community, and friends of the community, that are feeling
just pleased and happy to see a character on TV that is depicted in
maybe a positive light, I think that's great,” Falahee told E!
Online.
“TV is sort of catching up and it's
been very black and white what we've seen on the screen and very
paranormative and patriarchal, and I think that now that we're
exploring it, it's something that's being talked about, which is
great.”
Falahee, 25, added that Peter Nowalk
has created a show based around “real people. And that's
fantastic.”
