James Dobson, the founder of Focus on
the Family, a ministry he left in 2010, warned in his most recent
newsletter that allowing gay couples to marry will lead America down
the same path as Sodom and Gomorrah.

Wing Watch points to Dobson's October newsletter, in which he
criticizes the Supreme Court for legalizing and protecting “sexual
perversion.”
A series of decisions from the high
court effectively legalized marriage equality in 35 states, though 3
states have yet to comply.
“The outrageous behavior of the
wicked men of Sodom and Gomorrah sealed their doom. Fire and
brimstone fell from the sky on both cities and utterly destroyed
them,” Dobson wrote.
“I am convinced that America and
other Western nations are sliding in the same direction. We have not
yet reached the depravity of Sodom and Gomorrah, but that appears to
be where we are headed,” Dobson warned.
“Many influential men and women of
the judiciary are leading us toward perdition,” he added.
