Out actor Bryan Batt married his
partner of 25 years, Tom Cianfichi, last month in a ceremony held in
New Orleans.
Batt is best known for playing art
director Salvatore Romano on the AMC hit series Mad Men.
Other notable roles include Darius in the film Jeffrey and
Tino in Kiss Me, Guido.
Batt
told US Weekly that they were legally wed in New York City
and held a ceremony and reception in his hometown, where he keeps a
home.
“After 25 years together we tied the
knot – first legally in New York City, and then in a ceremony and
reception under the canopy of oaks in a beautiful Garden District
courtyard in New Orleans,” he said.
“I've had some good ones, but this
was the best night of my life!” said Batt of the wedding, which
included a jazz quartet playing in the background as the couple
exchanged vows.
In a tweet he added: “It was
beautiful, profound, and more magical than I ever dreamed. I highly
recommend it!”
Celebrity guests included Patricia
Clarkson, Harriet Harris, Christian Le Blanc and Christina Hendricks.
