A gay couple from Arizona had their
special wedding day disrupted by a heckler believed to be hiding in a
nearby condominium.
Roughly 30 guests, including Arizona
Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema, traveled to Centennial Park in the San
Diego suburb of Coronado to witness the marriage of Oscar de las
Salas and Gary Jackson.
According to local ABC affiliate

10 News, the ceremony was repeatedly interrupted by a heckler
believed to be hiding in a nearby luxury residential building
screaming “homos” and “go home homos.”
“He really wanted to humiliate the
people there,” David de Alva, who provided the music, told the
station. “He said, 'Go home, fags!'”
De las Salas said he feared the heckler
could be armed.
“I'm thinking, 'God forbid this
person has a gun and decides to open fire,'” he said.
Jackson said the heckler ruined the day
for everyone.
“It's just sad that that is now
ingrained for the rest of our lives in our wedding day,” he said.
“That person took a chunk of what should have been a beautiful day
and turned it into something nasty and full of hate.”
