Liam Payne of the London-based
English-Irish boy band One Direction has denied he's gay or
homophobic.
Responding to a series of fake naked
photographs of him with another man which appeared Sunday on social
media, Payne said he could not believe anyone could be fooled by that
“weird” photograph.
“Wow as if people think that weird
photo going around is actually me lol think id rather tweet a full
frontal than have people look at that,” Payne tweeted to his more
than 18 million followers.
After several gay fans questioned
whether he was offended, Payne messaged in response: “I'm 100% not
homophobic. But I'm also 100% not gay so when somebody says I am I'm
gunna say I'm not which does not make me a homophobe.”
Payne has been dating girlfriend Sophia
Smith for more than a year.
