A startling expose about the violence
gay men and lesbians face in Russia is set to debut next month on
premium cable network HBO.
Out actor Matt Bomer (White Collar,
The Normal Heart) narrates Hunted: The War Against Gays in
Russia, which premieres Monday, October 6 at 9 PM.
Directed by Ben Steele, Hunted
features “disturbing insider footage of homophobic Russians who, in
the name of morality or religion, beat and torment gay people,
posting graphic videos of their encounters online with few or no
legal repercussions,” according to the film's description.
The film's trailer features a woman
saying, “They use the pretext of fighting pedophilia in Russia to
attack gay people.”
“Pedophiles, gays and people like
this, are basically serving the Devil,” a religious cleric says.

Groups such as Occupy Pedophilia
inaccurately claim their attacks against gays are justified because
sexual abuse of children is most often committed by homosexuals.
