Police in Philadelphia on Tuesday
released surveillance video of suspects wanted in connection with a
brutal attack on a gay male couple in Center City.
The attack took place Thursday and
included up to twelve men and women in their twenties.
According
to the men, together over a decade, they were approached by the
group as they made their way to dinner.
“Is this your fucking boyfriend?”
one of them asked.
When one of the men answered “yes,”
the group rushed them and began punching and kicking the couple.
As a result of the beating, one of the
victims, 28, was hospitalized for more than three days and had to
have his jaw wired shut.
“I have multiple facial fractures on
both sides of my face,” he said. “I have an orbital fracture,
which is like the eye socket. I had a big laceration that was from
the tip of my nose all the way to my lip that was gushing blood.”
His boyfriend, 26, has a severely
bruised face.
Police
released a description of the suspects: “A group of
approximately 10-12 white male and females all in their early 20's
'clean cut' and well dressed. One suspect was described as having a
husky build, brown hair, wearing a brown shirt and shorts.”
Businesses in the area have joined to
offer a $10,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to the
arrest of the suspects, PhillyMag.com
