Sara Gilbert on Wednesday said she was
overwhelmed by the response to her pregnancy.
Gilbert announced Tuesday on The
Talk that she and wife Linda Perry are expecting their first
child.
Sitting at the show's table, Gilbert
said she had not expected the level of excitement her announcement
generated from her co-hosts.
“I know some of you said, 'Oh we feel
this is our baby.' And I really feel like it's your baby, too,”
she told Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl
Underwood.
Gilbert and Perry started dating in
2011 and tied the knot in March.
The 39-year-old Gilbert has two
children from a previous relationship with television producer
Allison Adler – son Levi, 9, and daughter Sawyer, 7.
Linda Perry, former vocalist and
guitarist of 4 Non Blondes, can currently be seen on the VH1 reality
series Make or Break: The Linda Perry Project, where she takes
on the role of mentor to young musicians.
