Christian conservative Linda Harvey is
warning parents to protect their children from “homosexual
indoctrination” at school.
Harvey, the founder of the Columbus,
Ohio-based Mission America and a frequent contributor to the
conservative website WND.com, attacked gay-straight alliance clubs,
which work to end homophobia and transphobia in schools to create a
safe environment, as promoting “homosexual perversion.”
“Don't let schools get away with
homosexual indoctrination,” she
told her radio listeners. “You children's physical, moral and
spiritual future is at stake.”
“These clubs too often end up as
on-site promoters of homosexual perversion,” she said.
Parents also need to watch out for
“wild liberal” teachers whose math lessons “normalize
deviance,” she said.
“Not all teachers are wild liberals
but quite a few are. And they get creative at getting the issue of
homosexuality and gender confusion in front of children. In math,
kids will face word problems that somehow incorporate same-sex
parents as if this is no big deal. They'll quickly move on, no
questions allowed, smoothly normalizing deviance,” she added
without offering any evidence.
