Christian conservative Bryan Fischer claims Michael Sam was given a second chance to make it in the NFL because he's gay.

The Dallas Cowboys signed Sam, the NFL's first openly gay player to be drafted, to their 10-player practice squad four days after the St. Louis Rams cut him from their roster.

Even though Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has denied that he was pressured by the NFL to take Sam, Fischer insisted that was what happened.

On his Focal Point radio program, Fischer told listeners that Sam was on the Dallas Cowboys practice squad “because he's a homosexual.”

“Don't let the NFL lie to you and say this doesn't have anything to do with sexual behavior, or sexual conduct. It's all about that,” he said.

“What the NFL has done here is they have discriminated against every heterosexual football player that also got cut. They didn't go to bat for those guys. They discriminated against everybody but Michael Sam,” he added. (The video is embedded on this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)
