Christian conservative Linda Harvey on
Wednesday warned that LGBT youth centers are “preying on children”
and recruiting them into homosexuality.
On her Mission America radio program,
Harvey described the findings of a report issued by the
Massachusetts-based anti-gay group Mass Resistance as “truly
disturbing.”
The report “concerns the linkages
being made between school aged kids, some as young as middle school,
with organizations that are not affiliated with the schools in any
way but are community run homosexual centers.”
“Almost every major city has such a
center now. Schools are now sometimes encouraging students to attend
these clubs and that's where alarm bells should be going off.”
Harvey said the clubs meet off campus
and welcome students as young as 11.
“Now what does an 11 or 12 year old
have in common with a 21-year-old college student and where the whole
atmosphere is about same-sex sexual identity and behavior. Does this
just scream trouble to you like it does to me?” she
rhetorically asked.
