Out singer Ricky Martin has joined the
cast of Mexico's version of the reality TV franchise The Voice.
Season four of La Voz premieres
on Mexico's Televisa network on Sunday, September 7 and will also
include Mexican stars Yuri and Julion Alvarez and Italian singer
Laura Pausini.
Martin wrapped up his second year on
The Voice Australia last week.
“All his experience and musical
abilities will be available for the next season of The Voice …
Mexico,” said a spokesman for Televisa.
Martin replaced Keith Urban on The
Voice Australia. After two seasons, Martin has not said whether
he plans to return for season four next year.
Meanwhile, the 42-year-old Martin's
support for Olympian Ian Thorpe's recent coming out has sparked
rumors of a romantic involvement between the pair on social media.
