Christian conservative and Colorado
House hopeful Gordon “Dr. Chaps” Klingenschmitt on Wednesday
claimed that Jesus will overrule the Supreme Court on gay marriage.
On his web show, Pray in Jesus Name
Project, Klingenschmitt condemned a ruling by the Tenth Circuit Court
of Appeals in Denver upholding a lower court's ruling striking down
Utah's ban on gay marriage.
Klingenschmitt remarked on a newspaper
headline about the case which included a photo of two men sharing a
kiss.
“These two men will appear before …
the Great White Throne of Judgment, where Jesus Christ himself is
sitting on the throne and issuing his determination. And he will
overrule whatever the Supreme Court said,” Klingenschmitt told his
viewers.
“And what will Jesus' determination
be?”
“Jesus as the judge will overrule the
U.S. Supreme court. And what will he do with these two men? It will
be printed in heaven's newspaper in 100 years that God throws them
into hell.” (The video is embedded on this page. Visit
