Facebook on Friday announced that it
had added LGBT-themed stickers to Facebook Messenger in celebration
of Gay Pride.
“We're celebrating Pride by adding
these free Facebook Messenger stickers to the Sticker Store,”
Facebook said in a post. “We see this as one more way we can make
Facebook a place where people can express their authentic identity.
Happy Pride!.”
Over 20 LGBT-themed stickers are
included in the free set.
Among the stickers included is one with
two grooms, one with two brides, and one with a two-mom family.
Two years ago, Facebook became the
first social media company to receive a GLAAD Media Award for its
support of the LGBT community.
