Saturday Night Live (SNL) poked fun at critics of Michael Sam kissing his boyfriend on ESPN when he learned that he had been drafted by the St. Louis Rams.

The sketch comedy show reunited the over-the-top affectionate Vogelcheck family to drive home its point.

In the skit, host Adam Samberg plays the gay son who brings home his boyfriend (played by Taran Killam) to watch the NFL draft. Special guest Paul Rudd and former cast regulars Fred Armisen, Kirsten Wiig, Bill Hader and Maya Rudolph play members of the Vogelcheck family.

Family members make out with each other as Killam awkwardly looks on.

When ESPN broadcasts the kiss, a shocked Hader says, “That seems like a lot for TV.”

Rudd, who is licking Armisen's neck, agrees: “Yeah, people are watching this with their families.”

Killam chides the family on their hypocrisy.

“I'm sorry, I didn't say anything when you people made out as a family, but I think you're being a little close-minded about a happy couple celebrating on television who just happen to be gay,” Killam says.
