couple getting engaged by the side of the road over a flat tire.
“This is kind of a big deal for
American television,” Kimmel told his guests, “that we have two
characters what we feel like we know getting married in prime time on
a network owned by Disney.”
“We're opening people's hearts and
minds, no doubt about it, but we're making them fricking laugh, too,”
last year married his husband in real life, said he felt real
emotion in filming the marriage scene.
“I have great affection for this man.
And so to look at him and to be able to say these great words and be
able to say 'I do' to someone, even if they're going to be a fake
husband, it does create a certain emotion. And I did get very
emotional,” Ferguson said.
Stonestreet, who is openly straight,
