A video showing an 80-year-old man getting inked to support his gay grandson has gone viral on YouTube.

In the nearly 6-minute video, Grandpa Frank gets a small wrist tattoo of an equal sign.

“So what made you want to come in and get tattooed today?” the tattoo artist asks.

“Well, I wanted to support my grandson, who's gay,” Frank responds. “I think it's important that we show support for him.”

“He thought [coming out] was a big deal. And I didn't think it was.”

“Well, how long ago did that happen?”

“It's been five years. And the whole family supported him immediately,” Frank answers.

Frank's grandson, Joe, also has an equal sign tattooed on his hip. At the end of the video, grandfather and grandson compared tattoos. (The video is embedded on this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)
