More than 2 dozen WWE superstars have
joined the NOH8 Campaign.
NOH8 Campaign started as a protest
against passage of Proposition 8, but has morphed into a more general
LGBT rights awareness campaign now that California's same-sex
marriage ban has been knocked down.
“Our mission at WWE is to put smiles
on people's faces and we do that, in part, by participating in
initiatives that help fight bullying of all kinds,” Stephanie
McMahon, chief brand officer for WWE, said
in a statement. “We are proud to support the LGBT community by
taking part in the WWE NOH8 Campaign.”
WWE superstar Darren Young, who came
out gay last year, added: “I am so honored to be a part of the WWE
NOH8 Campaign. The most important thing is to be able to live your
life the way you want to, truthfully. NOH8 makes that possible.”
Among those posing for NOH8 are The
Miz, Tamina, Batista, Big Show, Ricardo Rodriguez, Titus O'Neil,
Darren Young, Cesaro, the Uso Brothers, Summer Rae, Eva Marie,
Stephanie McMahon, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Alicia Fox, Bella
Twins, Tyson Kidd, Natalya, Xavier Woods, Aksana, Damien Sandow,
Daniel Bryan, Jack Swagger, Renee Young, Trinity and Ariane.
