Jeff Gordon says a gay NASCAR driver
would be accepted.
The 42-year-old Gordon made his
comments during an appearance on Larry King Now.
Gordon, who drives the No. 24 Chevrolet
SS for Hendrick Motorsports in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, was
answering social media questions from fans when host Larry King
decided to throw in an extra question.
“It's not on the list but I got to
ask,” King said. “Would a gay driver be accepted?”
“I think if they had talent and they
earned the right to be here and could do everything, you know, that
it takes to be a top driver, I don't see any reason why,” Gordon
responded. “I think anybody would be accepted in this sport, if

Gordon, who is married to Ingrid
Vandebosch, was the recent subject of a fake The
Daily Currant story which claimed that he was in a
relationship with fellow stock car racing driver Stephen Rhodes.
