Fashion designer Tom Ford on Monday
revealed he's married to Richard Buckley, his partner of 27 years.
According to the UK version of Vogue,
Ford announced that he's married during a panel held at a London
Apple Store.
“I lost so many friends in college –
I would say more than half of my closest friends. Richard, my
partner of 27 years, had also gone through something also quite tough
in his life. We are now married, which is nice,” he said to a warm
round of applause.
“I know that was just made legal in
the UK, which is great. We were married in the States,” he added.
In September of 2012, Ford and Buckley
– currently aged 52 and 65, respectively – became dads, welcoming
the birth of their son Alexander John Buckley Ford.
Tom Ford has also dabbled in
filmmaking. His 2009 big screen adaptation of Christopher
Isherwood's A Single Man garnered an Academy Award nomination
for its star, Colin Firth.
