Singer Boy George believes that a gay
person is not obligated to come out.
Appearing on Piers Morgan Live,
the 52-year-old George – famous for his androgynous style of
dressing – weighed in on the recent coming out of Michael Sam, a
24-year-old college football player and solid NFL draft prospect, by

“One of the funny things about coming
out public is that people always encourage you to do it, and then
when you do it, they say, 'All you do is talk about being gay.' So,
you can't win,” George told host Piers Morgan.
“When I was younger, I was a little
more kind of gung-ho in that everyone should come out. Now I think,
if it makes you happy come out. If it's going to make you miserable,
don't come out. Just don't have a go at other gay people. So long
