Christian conservative Linda Harvey has
reiterated her claim that gay people are straight, comparing being
gay to anorexia.
Harvey, the founder of the Columbus,
Ohio-based Mission America and a frequent contributor to the
conservative website WND.com, appeared on AFA Today to pitch
her latest book Maybe He's Not Gay: Another View on Homosexuality.
Harvey explained how being gay is like
an eating disorder.
“Your body is made to eat, otherwise
you will starve,” Harvey
said. “With homosexuals, your body is not made for the kind of
relations they have, it's made for heterosexuality. We're basically
all heterosexuals.”

“But you can be deluted. You need to
look at objective evidence and then you need to not say, 'Well, they
hate me, if they criticize me.' No, there are many people with many
other wonderful qualities that are deluted about lots of things in
life. And those things can take hold of you for years and years and
years. And you can believe that … it's the best thing for you.
And that's why I chose that analogy.”
Co-host Ed Vitagliano agreed: “It's
such a perfect and biblical view of a person who sees themselves as
homosexual.”
