The lives of Kyan Douglas and Jai
Rodriguez altered dramatically after Queer Eye
ended.
In a cabler OWN Where Are They Now?
segment, the “Fab Five” – Douglas, Rodriguez, Ted Allen, Carson
Kressley and Thom Filicia – looked back at the end of
the groundbreaking makeover show.
“I moved to LA, because I figure, 'Oh
great I was on television, I'll go back to my career as an actor,'”
Rodriguez said. “And I was in for a rude awakening, because when
we ended it was the rise of reality TV and suddenly, because I had
been on [a] reality TV show, I was clunked in to a lot of other TV
personalities who garnered fame by behaving badly on camera. And a
lot of entertainment scripted casting people wouldn't see me because
they lumped me into that group.”
Douglas said that after the show he
went on a quest.
“I studied yoga. I traveled to Egypt
and to India and South America, moved to Mexico. I mean, I studied
with the shamans, I mean, I did it all.”
He added that his quest taught him that
we are “already that which we're seeking.” (The video is

Queer Eye ended its run in 2007
after airing 100 episodes.
