In a video montage looking back at the
year that was, Google included Jason Collins, transgender homecoming
queen Cassidy Campbell and gay marriage.
The 90-minute video, titled Google
Zeitgeist | Here's to 2013, starts off with a person typing “new
beginnings” into Google.
With a soundtrack of Jetta's Feels
Like Coming Home playing, two handsome men hold hands on their
wedding day surrounded by friends and family. Pope Francis kisses a
man on the forehead.
A person asks an android phone to
search for “inspiration.”
“For my mother,” actor Daniel
Day-Lewis dressed in a tuxedo says as he accepts his Oscar statuette.
Cassidy Campbell shares a hug as she's crowned
homecoming queen.
“When you finally get to that point
of acceptance, there's nothing more beautiful,” says NBA free agent
Jason Collins, who
came out gay this year.
The video ends with Miles Scott, 5,
fighting crime as “Batkid.” (The video is embedded on this page.
