Singer-songwriter Mary Lambert has said
that the best part of the hit gay marriage anthem Same Love is
its human connection.
Same Love is the hit single
Lambert collaborated on with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, who last
week received 7 Grammy nominations, including best song for Same
Love.
During an appearance on HLN's Showbiz
Tonight, Lambert was asked what was the most gratifying part for
her of the track's success.
“I think it's like the actual
personal human connection, like when you meet people,” Lambert
replied. “They're talking to you, they want to tell you their
story. Like just the fact that people have been able to say, 'I came
out to my family once this song came out. [It] gave me the courage
to do that.'” (The video is embedded on this page. Visit
