Anderson Cooper and Keith Olbermann
have weighed in on Alec Baldwin's suspension.
MSNBC on Friday announced that Alec
Baldwin's late night show, Up Late with Alec Baldwin, would be
suspended for two weeks over Baldwin's use of a gay slur.

TMZ.com posted a video of Baldwin in an
altercation with a photographer outside his apartment. The website
claims that he called the photographer a “cocksucking fag” before
getting into his car.
Baldwin denied the claim, saying
he said “cocksucking fathead”, and in a series of tweets
denounced the use of gay slurs.
Baldwin said that he had been
“informed” that “c'sucker is an anti-gay epithet. In which
case I apologize and will retire it from my vocabulary.”

excuses,” Cooper tweeted to his nearly 4.5 million followers.
“They are actually so ridiculous they are funny.”
He later added that Baldwin “can say
whatever he wants, but then why repeatedly lie about it afterwards?”
Olbermann, who had a falling-out with
MSNBC, took aim at the network's president, Phil Griffin.
“The deft hand of Phil Griffin
strikes again,” he tweeted. “Next on MSNBC: Lockup: Alec
Baldwin.”
