President Barack Obama reiterated his
support for the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) on Saturday.
Obama recorded a nearly 3 minute video
to be played at the Human Rights Campaign's (HRC) 17th
annual National Dinner. HRC is the nation's largest LGBT rights
advocate.
HRC President Chad Griffin introduced
the president: “No one has done more for our movement than the man
you're about to hear from. Take a look.”
“Hello HRC,” said Obama, who
appeared in person at the annual fundraiser in 2011. “I want to
thank everyone here for your leadership on behalf of the LGBT
community.”

“This is a big night for HRC and it
comes at the end of a big year for LGBT rights,” Obama said before
touting his administration's accomplishments in the area.
The president promised to “keep
pushing Congress to pass measures like the Employment
Non-Discrimination Act and give workers everywhere, including
transgender Americans, the protection they deserve.” (The video is
