Beth Ditto married her longtime girlfriend Kristin Ogata in a
wedding held on the island of Maui in Hawaii.
Ditto, lead singer for the three-piece indie rock band Gossip, and
Ogata live in Portland, Oregon.
A photo from the wedding along with a statement was posted on the
Facebook page of Gossip on Tuesday.
“At long last, now that we have returned home and recovered from
all the amazingness and had some time to bask in the afterglow, we
are excited to share with you a pic or two from Beth and Kristin's
wedding! So much love and appreciation to all our family and friends
who celebrated with us! And a huge thank you to Jean Paul Gaultier
for the dream-come-true dress!”
Ditto announced plans to marry last year, telling The
Guardian that she “was born to be married.”
“I love the idea of being partnered forever. I love my
girlfriend, we've been best friends since I was 18. There's not a
thing we haven't been through except marriage,” she said.
