Author-activist Michelangelo Signorile
on Friday married film historian David Gerstner in New York City.
“Just married! City Hall Manhattan,”
the 52-year-old Signorile tweeted along with a photo of the happy
couple.
He later added: “Blown away by all
the best wishes here to David and me on our wedding. Thanks to all,
far and wide, for making the day even more special.”
Signorile is the host of The
Michelangelo Signorile Show on SiriusXM Radio. The show returns
next week with the launch of SiriusXM Progress, a satellite radio
channel replacing SiriusXM Left. He is also the editor-at-large for
The Huffington Post's Gay Voices.
Gerstner is a professor of cinema
studies at the City University of New York's Graduate Center and
College of Staten Island. He is the author of Queer Pollen: White
Seduction, Black Male Homosexuality, and the Cinematic. He also
co-wrote Manly Arts: Masculinity and Nation in Early American
Cinema and Media Authorship.
